Social Worker / Senior Social Worker (MAST team)
Job description
Your new company
"I am available. I am transparent. I am passionate about working with children. I am a coach - staff development is very important to me...and I bring cake"
Sharon Scott, Head of MAST Team.
Ealing is a bustling, diverse, and - most importantly - young borough, with over 330,000 residents under the age of 18. Ealing has a genuine commitment, whatever
the challenges, to making a difference to its young people. Being part of Ealing is being part of that commitment.
Your new role
You will be part of a busy multi-disciplinary team, working alongside clinical psychologists and family support workers as well as social workers as part of a pod. You will be an integral part of a group supervision model, benefitting from the experience and support of colleagues while also having a tangible chance to contribute to the practice of your colleagues and team, sharing your own practice wisdom and experience. You will be joining a team dedicated to Ealing's key values and will be part of a culture that values listening, partnership and shared understanding at every level of work.
Our MAST service comprises four multi-disciplinary teams. These are: Central, Acton, Greenford and a specialist Adolescent Team.
MAST provides statutory assessments and care planning for children who are the subject of Child Protection and Child in Need plans.
What you will need to succeed
We are looking for experienced social workers, as passionate about practice as they are about performance, who want to make a real difference to both the lives of vulnerable children and the service they are part of.
*Social Work degree and HCPC registration are compulsory for this post.
What you will get in return
generous salary of GBP 33,300 - GBP 44,600
you will be part of an innovative, nurturing and collaborative environment
life work balance and work flexibility
24-30 AL days plus Bank Holidays and 3 days of leave due to Christmas closure
you can obtain travel discounts including season ticket loans, cycle loan schemes and a cycle to work scheme
Sherwood 2020 diary!
